With more time and more materials to be explored, this one day batik course will provide the participant with a greater understanding of the of batik process, from designing to colouring, in a more detailed and comprehensive way. The cotton media for this course is also much larger than in the previous courses (1 and 3 hours), using 150 cm cotton cloth and/or bigger paper kites/ wooden masks. In this course, the colouring will be a 2 stage process. The course also covers ‘colet’ techniques, in which dye is applied using a brush direct to the media in order to get 4 or more colours.
